Leslie Kam

(甘伊雯)

President

Leslie Kam is a fourth-year medical student at Kaohsiung Medical University. She previously received a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from University of California, Irvine. Prior to studying in Taiwan, she worked at a neuropsychiatric research lab at her university and volunteered at an occupational therapy clinic. In her free time, she enjoys playing music and traveling.

Nicholas Chien

(簡毓勳)

Nicholas Chien is currently attending Kaohsiung Medical University as a fourth-year medical student. He attended the University of California, San Diego where he earned his bachelor’s degree and conducted research. He shares his passion for painting and city exploration with his peers and loves talking about his favorite animals, dogs.

Scott St. John (沈斯德)	President (學生會主席)	Scott is the current president of the Post-Baccalaureate International Students Association at Kaohsiung Medical University. He is currently in his 4th year medical clerkship, and next semester will be starting his internship at KMU. Prior to studying at KMU, he received the degree of Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. After arriving to Taiwan, but prior to matriculation, he studied at Wenzao Ursaline College of Languages, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. When he is not working hard in the hospital, he spends his time lifting weights, learning about Taiwanese culture and enjoying the delicious delicacies Taiwan has to offer!
Brian Chen (陳宇浩)	Vice President of Administration (行政副主席)	Brian is a 4th-year post-baccalaureate medical student. He received his Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, in biochemistry with a minor in Chinese studies. He also spent one year on exchange at National Taiwan University in the College of Life Sciences. Prior to starting medical school at KMU, he worked full-time doing neuroscience research. He’s looking forward to help establish this group and improve the international student experience at KMU.
Joffrey Hsu (許祐銘)	Vice President of Communication (通訊副主席)	Joffrey is a 4th-year post-baccalaureate medical student. He was born and raised in California. He received his Bachelor’s of Science from University of California-Riverside in Neuroscience. During college, he worked part-time in a cancer research lab and was part of a medical mission organization, Americal Medical and Dental Services (AMDS). When not in the hospital, he enjoys trying to keep healthy with sports/exercise, relaxing with a guitar, trying to cook, etc.
