Scholarships for Academic Excellence

There are also scholarships amounting to NT$20,000 awarded to students who excel academically and maintain social conduct scores of 82 points or above in the previous semester. These scholarships are limited to 1 out of 50 students per class.

 

Hardship Subsidies

Hardship subsidies are available for poor and physically or mentally disabled students from families whose annual incomes fall below $950,000. To apply for this subsidy, students must hold a certificate of disability, hold a medium-to-low income certificate or proof that his or her family has a yearly income below $950,000. The amount of each subsidy is decided on a case-by-case basis.

 

Emergency Financial Relief Subsidies

On occasions where someone responsible for supporting a student’s family financially is disabled by a serious accident or serious illness, or dies, thereby resulting in financial difficulties for the family, relief subsidies are available for the student. Subsidy amounts are determined on a case-by-case basis.

 

Scholarships and Financial Aid for Graduate Students

Financial aid is available for graduate students who excel academically in the form of scholarships and teaching or research or administrative assistantships.

 

Special Scholarships and Subsidies

Eighteen other scholarships or education subsidies have been established through the donations of various groups and individuals. Students who meet the requirements set for each of these may apply.

 

Tuition fees & Living Expenses

Tuition fees: Please refer to the KMU website for the latest tuition fees.

Living expense: approximately NT$ 8,000 per month
